NEW YORK, May 21/Reuters/
A two-hour tribute to the Super Models of the past six decades will be
produced and directed by seven time Emmy Award winner Gary Smith who has
closed a deal with executive producers Steve Jaffe and Linda Morand,
herself a former top fashion model, which will launch the
"Super Models
Hall of Fame" as an annual event. The inductees will be selected by a
blue ribbon panel including leading publishers, agents, designers,
photographers and others in the fashion world.
The concept for the show started with Morand's website
"MiniMadModSixties"
for which she has collected approximately 19,000 images from the covers
of Vogue Magazine and other publications of all of the top models of
their respective eras. A special award will be presented for lifetime
achievement to a top fashion designer and fashion photographer in the
program slated for fall of 2010. Actress and former top fashion model
Susan Blakely has been signed by the producers to be one of the hosts of
the show.
